Kitchen renovations in Fonthill
There is a budgeting point specific to Fonthill worth raising before anything else. Fonthill is in the Town of Pelham, and Pelham's building permit fees are in the middle of a change. The Town has been open about it: its fees had not been comprehensively reviewed since 2016, only small annual increases had been applied in the years since while construction costs and Code requirements rose considerably, and it ran a fee study through 2026 with a public open house in June. What that means practically is that a permit figure quoted today should be treated as a floor if the project is a year or two out. We put that in the quote rather than leaving it to be discovered.
The kitchen work itself is conventional, and it divides on the age of the house. That is three separate approvals on one kitchen, and the electrical one is the one most often left unresolved until it turns up at resale.
The Fonthill Kame, the sand and gravel ridge the town sits on, does not reach an interior kitchen. It matters a great deal for excavation, drainage and anything structural outside the walls, and not at all for cabinetry.
