How the work comes together.

Each case study on this page is a project we actually built, with the neighbourhood, approximate square footage, materials, a timeline in weeks, and a real cost band included in the write-up rather than just a photo and a caption. We document projects this way because a gallery of finished photos does not tell a homeowner much about what their own project will actually involve. A price range, a realistic timeline, and a description of something that did not go exactly to plan tell you more about how a job actually runs than a set of after photos ever could.

The projects here span both divisions we work in: renovation jobs like a full kitchen gut in Waterloo, a legal basement suite in Mississauga, and a whole-home repaint in Cambridge, alongside concrete flatwork like a stamped patio in Guelph, a salt-finish pool deck in Oakville, and an exposed-aggregate driveway in Kitchener. Every write-up covers the same ground: what the space looked like before, what we built, what it cost, how long it took, whether a permit was involved, and at least one real problem we ran into on site and how we solved it, whether that was a load-bearing wall behind a kitchen opening, tree roots in the way of a patio excavation, or corroded plumbing found once a bathroom floor was opened up.
