St. Catharines is the Garden City, and its neighbourhoods each have their own feel. Port Dalhousie sits on the lake with a marina and older cottages giving way to upscale rebuilds, where owners renovate for waterfront living. Grantham is solid postwar and 60s suburbia on generous lots, homes now ready for their first serious modernization. Facer, closer to the core, keeps its older brick homes and tight streets with a working-neighbourhood character that is steadily being revived.
