What we build into every concrete walkways job
Walkways and front entrances get more foot traffic per square foot than almost anything else we build, so the photos here are chosen to show texture as much as layout: broom finish for dependable grip, exposed aggregate for a premium look with excellent traction, and stamped or salt finishes where a walkway ties into a more decorative driveway or patio nearby.
Underneath every one of these is a compacted base and reinforcement sized for foot traffic rather than vehicles, graded so water sheds off the path rather than pooling in the centre where ice would form first. A typical walkway or front entrance project takes 2 to 4 days and runs $12 to $22 per sq ft, similar to our driveway pricing since the base preparation and forming work is comparable even though the loads are lighter. Where a walkway curves to follow a garden bed or connect a driveway to a side door, that path was laid out and formed on site to match the property, not poured from a straight template.
