What we build into every concrete garage floors job
A garage floor takes a different kind of abuse than any other flatwork we pour: vehicle weight concentrated on four small contact points, dropped tools, oil and de-icing salt tracked in all winter. The photos here show that in the finish choices, mainly a smooth trowel finish for an easy-to-clean surface, and a broom or sealed finish where grip matters more than a polished look.
Every floor in this gallery sits on a properly compacted base with wire mesh or rebar reinforcement, since a garage slab that flexes under vehicle load will crack along predictable lines within a few years. Most garage floor and pad projects take 2 to 4 days and run $8 to $16 per sq ft, lower than our driveway or patio pricing since garage floors are typically simpler in shape and do not need the decorative finishing that outdoor flatwork does. A few photos also show shed, hot tub, and equipment pads, which use the same base and reinforcement approach scaled down to a smaller footprint.
