Concrete Patios Project Photos

The patios in this gallery are backyard projects built for actual outdoor living, not display pads. Most of what makes a patio last through an Ontario winter is invisible once it is finished: a compacted base, wire mesh reinforcement, and a slope of roughly a quarter inch per foot carrying water away from the house rather than pooling against the foundation.

What you can see in the photos is the finish work: stamped patterns in stone, brick, slate, or wood-look textures, exposed aggregate for a textured, low-maintenance surface, or a broom or salt finish where slip resistance around a fire pit or seating area matters more than pattern. Integral colour, mixed into the concrete rather than sprayed on top, is what keeps the tone even years later in the areas that get the most foot traffic. A patio like the ones shown here typically takes 3 to 5 days to pour and finish, with pricing in the $14 to $28 per sq ft range depending on the finish and the amount of decorative detail.
